Dan Rogier

Vice President, Strategy and Policy

Dan Rogier has a successful track record of managing the maintenance and operations functions for AEP transmission assets. Rogier has been employed by AEP since 1982 and has held numerous technical and management positions of increasing responsibility in AEP's transmission organization.

From 2012 to 2013, Rogier served as managing director in Transmission Field Operations having responsibility for maintenance and operations functions for all transmission assets ranging in voltage from 34.5 kV to 765 kV located in AEP's seven-state eastern region. This role included responsibility for directing response to all emergency restoration efforts for transmission facilities and for directing the repair and replacement for all transmission line, station and protection and control equipment failures.

Prior to this role, Rogier served as a director in the AEP Transmission organization from 2004 to 2011, responsible for the functional leadership activities associated with AEP's distribution dispatch operations as well as the customer service and distribution computer applications used by 7,000 employees in 11 states.

From 1982 to 2004, Rogier held various engineering and managerial positions with responsibilities for system protection and control engineering activities including development of standards, development and implementation of new relays, system coordination and control system design.

Rogier earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1982 and a Masters of Business Administration from Ohio State University in 1987. He also completed the Executive Program at Darden at the University of Virginia.
